Contract Wizard: AI-Powered Contract Analysis

The Contract Wizard is an AI-powered contract analysis tool being developed in partnership with Performance Contractors to streamline contract review and analysis in the construction and industrial sectors.
The tool leverages large language models (LLMs) to analyze construction contracts, identifying key terms, potential issues, and important clauses that require attention. We are developing the following features using a custom AI framework, as well as training a proprietary redlining model:
- Automated contract tagging and sorting upon upload into database.
- Identification of critical contract terms and conditions for tagging.
- Risk assessment and highlighting of potential issues with chatbot.
- Time savings for contract review processes through redlining assistance.
As project manager, I led a team of students developing this tool through the HNRS 3025 course.
We are now taking this past the class, where we’re working directly with cutting-edge AI technology to solve real business challenges in the construction industry.

This project bridges academic learning with real-world application. We are creating a tool that has the potential to save significant time and reduce risk in contract management for Performance Contractors and potentially other companies in the industry.
