LSU Student Senate

Role: Senator

As a member of the LSU Student Senate, I represent the student body in university governance, advocating for student interests and working to improve the LSU experience for all students.

Legislative Work

During the Fall 2025 semester, I authored SGR 13, a student government resolution focused on ensuring students get the education they need in regards to Artificial Intelligence. The LSU system currently has very little in place to help students learn about AI from a top-down perspective. The bottom-up method creates confusion for students, and I think we need to meet in the middle here. I think Department Heads and Senior College Deans need to ensure they all have an action plan to make sure their students are educated on the economic, environmental, and ethical implications of AI, as well as its’ possibilities, how it should be used, data security, etc. As we move into a digital age, it is essential that these core concepts are available and accessible for students to grasp.
